I came to this work the same way many people come to change and that’s because at certain points in my own life, I had to stop, look honestly at what wasn’t working and take responsibility for changing it. People often tell me they feel comfortable talking with me, that they can say things they haven’t said out loud before. That matters because real change usually starts there.
I don’t believe in dramatic reinventions, I believe in small, clear steps, taken consistently, that change the way you live over time. If you’re ready to look honestly at what’s going on, understand yourself better and change what isn’t working, I can help with that.
I coach with best practice, neurological theory and from the lived experience of walking through and emerging from my own chaos. Like everyone, I have my own story, lived experiences, past mistakes, regrets and general baggage. This means I’m non-judgmental and empathic whilst asking you the challenging questions that really get to the heart of who you are and what you want.
I don’t therapise, diagnose or treat mental health conditions – instead I show you how to find your own clear, structured path forward through powerful questions, deep listening and partnered action planning – I don’t create the plan – you do – and I’ll hold you accountable for the actions, if you want me to.
I am married (second time around), have grown up children and grandchildren. I’m based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and work face-to-face and via video call.
I love being outdoors, walking the dogs and the occasional cold water swim. I like all types of weather, enjoy the changing of the seasons but I don’t like mud.
I’m also partial to the odd binge-watch if the mood takes me.
I genuinely like people, particularly those who can make me laugh and I can advocate for laughter as being the best medicine there is.
For me, the coaching principles are a way of life. The tools, strategies and concepts of coaching enable people to take control, act and make well-informed decisions about what they want. As well as one-to-one coaching, healthy relationships are a personal passion. They impact on our mental and physical wellbeing and on every aspect of our lives.
My additional coaching work, in the community, allows me to reach people for whom coaching might be inaccessible. The impact of peer coaching sessions is profound and an immense source of personal joy.
I am based in South Yorkshire and work face-to-face and on line with clients throughout the UK and internationally.
I have been coaching for over 8 years and have built up a solid reputation with clients who really see the results.
I also facilitate workshops for the Local Authority, NHS Public Health and a number of third sector organisations in the area.
If you’re ready to stop circling the same problems and to start to move forward with clarity and confidence, I am your coach.
I am an Associate Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council
